NFP welcomes Juliana Pelaez to its management and professional responsibility team in Canada
Pelaez will focus on mitigating executive risk exposure for the mid-market segment
TORONTO, October 12, 2022 /CNW/ — NFPa leading property and casualty insurance broker, employee benefits consultant, wealth manager and pension advisor, today announced that it has hired Juliana Pelaez as a mid-market leader for its Management and Professional Responsibility practice in Canada. Pelaez will be responsible for implementing NFP’s insurance advisory and brokerage services model to help mitigate executive risk exposure for mid-market segment clients, including directors and officers (D&O ), employment practices, fiduciary, cyber and criminal risk management programs. . She will report to Imran PiraSenior Vice President, Head of Management and Professional Accountability, NFP in Canada.
“Juliana is a seasoned subject matter expert with technical underwriting experience that will make her a valuable risk advisor,” Pira said. “His focus on the mid-market segment as it relates to executive responsibility will include private and not-for-profit organizations across a wide range of industries, including but not limited to manufacturing, real estate, transportation, natural resources, technology and construction.”
Prior to joining NFP, Pelaez served as an account executive at Travelers and a senior liability underwriter at AIG. In total, she brings more than 14 years of international underwriting and product development experience to NFP. Fluent in English, French and Spanish, Pelaez graduated from EAFIT University in Medellín, Colombiaand obtained a specialization in international trade from McGill university.
