Two Fort Wayne Companies Named to National List of “Most Responsible” Companies

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – Newsweek magazine released its third annual list of America’s Most Responsible Companies, and nine Indiana-based companies were named to the Top 500 list of public companies. The highest ranked Hoosier company is Berry Global Group (NYSE: BERY), based in Evansville, which ranks 35th.

The ranking focuses on environmental stewardship, social responsibility and corporate governance.

In addition to corporate responsibility data, Newsweek also surveyed 11,000 US citizens about their perceptions of companies.

“The companies on our list belong to dozens of different industries and vary greatly in size. But they all share a set of values, and we’re proud to recognize them, ”said Nancy Cooper, Global Editor of Newsweek.

  • No. 341 Allison Transmission (Indy)
  • No. 415 Hymn (Indy)
  • N ° 418 Wabash National (Lafayette)

Plastics maker Berry Global says it is leveraging its global capabilities to help customers meet their sustainability goals. The company recently announced a revised target to achieve 30% circular plastics use by 2030, exceeding its previous target of using 10%.
